Troubleshooting for Live Symposium

There is very little that can go wrong with the live stream so it’s likely the problem is with your computer, device or browser.

If you have access to another device or browser please try that first.

I can’t log in

  • Log in by clicking on the log in button in the header.
  • If this doesn’t work, it is likely that your pop-ups are disabled – either go to browser settings to enable them, or you may need to use another browser, another computer or a mobile to log in and register.

The stream hasn’t started

  • Press Play on the video stream at the top of the symposium page.

The stream hasn’t started but there is no play button

  • It may be that you are in a very old browser, like Internet Explorer. This has been discontinued by Microsoft, but some NHS computers still have this.
  • You need to use Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on a computer, or simply view it on a tablet or phone.

I can see the video but the audio is not working

  • Have you checked the volume on the live stream window? It could be muted or too low.
  • Failing that, reload/refresh the page. If it is still not working, your computer may need volume or setting adjustments. Check that you can hear audio on another website, e.g. YouTube.

I can’t get my CPD certificate

  • The questionnaire that you need to complete to receive your CPD certificate will not be available until after the symposium has finished.
  • Please refresh the page once the live stream has finished, and then you will be able to see the CPD questionnaire button.
  • If it is not there yet, wait a minute or two and refresh the page again.
